Some Flight Rising dragon headshots! Some of my friends dragged me into signing up for the site when it was open for registration earlier in the month, and I’ve been drawing some dragon headshot bust things for fellow members. Did I mention I really love coatls and skydancers?
These quick-ish headshots have actually helped me out a lot in getting my art muse back. Like I said in my thread where I’m doing these, I was experiencing my worst art rut since 2010 before I started taking these on.
I’d have drawn some more today since I have a handful left in my queue, but I felt like I needed a break today and so I took one; plus with finals drawing nearer the last week of class + finals weeks are going to be rough. But I’ll hang in there!
Maybe when I have more time on my hands I’ll start drawing some full-body dragons, and just more art in general. I have one thing with cats in it that’s been sitting in my queue for ages and I’ll probably get around to finishing that as my customary pre-finals stress drawing, because what’s better for curing stress than a drawing with cats in it?
Quick in-between-commissions drawing! I’ve been nothing short of addicted to Animal Crossing: New Leaf ever since it came out here in the US, and I wanted to draw my cat, Hubert, as if he were a villager in the game. He’d be a lazy villager with KK Ragtime playing on his stereo in his house. I imagine that he’d start out with an argyle sweater and his starting home would be a mishmash of miscellaneous things - of note he always has at least two beds on him at all times.
The real Hubert has a ton of beds so I imagine an Animal Crossing Hubert would have more than one bed in his home.
I should do more quick Animal Crossing character doodles! They’re fun.
A commission for Tumblr user tmityler, who as I understand it is doing a project based around robotic creatures! So I drew a spark bat. I was paid a little extra so as an added bonus I made the original sketch a little bit bigger before coloring it and added a quick headshot.
I imagine that the yellow bits would glow and I would have made a gif of that if it didn’t mean having to open Photoshop, which lags to no end on my computer, to do it. Either way this was a very fun project indeed!
